The spare realm
So here I am, Shounak Dutta, a confident and curious boy from India with the worst sense of humor that is if mine counts as humor at all. Ever since my home has become the only realm to breath without a mask, my mind has been looking for the infinite source of learning and practicing which led me to creating a website on WIX.com, making videos on YouTube for 10 months, making social media creatives, editing vlogs. I even tried learning how to make structures and weapons out of paper which could hang on my walls or fly out of a window to kill a mosquito or just lay on the ground till the maid picked it up dusted it and put it back there; I did everything that possibly came in my sight from making goofy edits for friends to drawing cartoons, watching anime and so much more that the concept of being creative had become just numb singularity inside me.
This was when I was only left with the idea of growing my hair and trying to workout everyday which welcomed some growth like I slept 11 hours instead of 10 on Sundays, and I would actually oil my hair unlike my rusted cycle.
Even though this wasn't the worst part of my life and I was in general happy, something felt missing. The month of July2020 was leaving me with my average marksheet and a birthday coming in 1 and half month, that's when my school announced the board project which were basically 18 pages of handwritten research plus a well presented file and format pages. I shouted to myself "Mai toh sab format ek dum same to same chapunga, research phataphat karke file ko colourful paper se cover kar dunga"[Even though I don't expect international peeps to read this, here is the translation "I will not make too much effort, ill copy all the pre-written format info, then research a bit and copy paste, and in case of the file I will cover it with just chart paper."]
But to my awe, on the first day I sat to work on my projects which was about a week later, my mind woke up and started to look around my room, whooosh- pop- click and there was an amazing motivation, a bright thought and endless ideas to present the projects. So much that I did 3 hours of awesome research, typing and composition of a jaw dropping essay for English. Then for the next 1 week I worked on it and showed my mom the product of my awakening.
This was when I wanted to learn more, read more, talk more, laugh more, study more and think more .
This arising sun of SHOUNAK DUTTA brought in new personal projects like making comics, puzzles, cards for friends, attending workshops, coding and a huge amount of watching online content. This was the time when I came in contact with the idea of gigs, side hustles, concept of teens earning but all of this was international and global as if no one knew this in India (which was not entirely true), as in general we don't think about money, talents, gigs rather learn about careers, fields, colleges and stuff. So I began taking notes, made 2 videos on my channel about some of these topics. One thing led to another which led to me reading RICH DAD POOR DAD, STAY HUNGRY STAY FOOLISH, EVERYTHING IS FUCKED and thus I was obsessed with the idea of learning money and the art of finances. The ambition of experimenting within me grew and
I was left on an unknown street of thought with no idea what was going to happen ahead just like you are right now.
